Chocolates...

Life is interesting. As Forrest Gump would say, "Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get." What if we did know what we were going to get? What if we knew our future? Would it make things easier? Maybe... but I don't think we would reach our full potential. As hard as things are sometimes, I am always grateful for trials. From a Chinese proverb, " A gem cannont be polished without friction, nor a man perfected without trials." And I think I kind of like the mystery of life. Sometimes... I wish that (sometimes) someone else could make my decisions for me and tell me what is best or what to do or what to invest in.

What do you think it is that's inside that makes us feel the things we do? What makes us feel happy... sad... angry.... frustrated... so broken and hurt that you can't eat... so in love that your chest feels like it's going to explode? I think it's our heavenly spirits. Can you imagine what life would be like without emotions? Definitely less drama... but wow, am I grateful. Even though some emotions are so hard to bare, it puts the wonderful emotions into perspective. I can't wait until the day that most of the sucky ones are not quite as prominant and I can have the wonderful happy ones more often. Don't think I'm one of those people who "will be happy when..." I'm competely happy and grateful for the life I have. Basically this whole post is my way of saying, I'm excited for the day I can give my whole heart to someone. And that someone will love me for all that I am... the skinny, the fat, the young, the wrinkly, the annoying, the happy, the grumpy, the obnoxious, the fun, the excited, the emotional...

me.

I love the way that you said all of that. That Chinese proverb is really interesting, I've never heard that before, but I love it. It's completely true. "...if they never should have bitter they could not know the sweet." Thank goodness for the gospel, loyal friends, and loving family to soften the blow of "the bitter" things that inevitably cross our path. Love you! :D
