flash mob.

a few saturdays ago, lincoln and i were in a flash mob!

bucket list--check!

it was so dang fun.

i kind of had to drag lincoln along to the rehearsals, but he ended up loving it!

it was so fun to do together.

although, small in size compared to some flash mobs, we still felt pretty cool.

i haven't been able to find the best videos of it, but see if you can spot us for the two seconds we got on camera.

cone of shame.

we picked up little midger yesterday from the vet after her BIG surgery.

she did really well and seemed to be recovering well.

she also acted completely terrified and will probably hate the vet for the rest of forever.

we took her home and she was acting like her normal self.

running around, chasing our ankles, pouncing, etc.

then she started licking her incision.

big no no.

so i called the vet... AGAIN.

and they said i could come pick up an e-collar... aka cone of shame.

we got it on her the first time and she kind of walked around for a second like a drunk cat.

i think it threw of her balance.

she didn't like that so much so she rolled over on her side and kicked that thing off.

we attempted to put it on her a couple more times.

and each time was so hilarious, that i had to record our last attempt.

poor girl.

GOOD NEWS!!!  lincoln just passed mr. kidney stone, like three minutes ago.  hallelujah!  that thing is small!  so crazy.

the funny thing is we JUST got home from his urology appointment and he had to go to bathroom while he was there, but he decided to wait until we got home.

oh goodness, this week.

i have a dentist appointment today and if he tells me i need something crazy done, like a root canal, i might have a melt down.  i guess our whole goal this week is to completely empty our savings account and pay every doctor in utah.

AND... guess what else?  lincoln is seeing an ear, nose, and throat doctor today too because he can't breathe through his nose, like ever.  so we have to go see what going on up there.

fun week.  ;)

confessions.

i have some confessions today:

• i call my mom everyday asking her to cook this or how to cook that.  i absolutely don't know anything about cooking.  but she does.  she's great!
• i have to make most of my phone calls outside of our apartment.  we get no service in our cement-surrounded bomb shelter.
• i am still writing our thank you notes from our wedding.  i'm only on the H's.  and it will probably take me the rest of my life to write them.
• i have a very large fear of spiders.  insert story: last night we got home late and lincoln was walking ahead of me to unlock our front door.  he opened the screen and as soon as he did a MASSIVE spider ran across the bottom of the door.  my reaction: the biggest gasp you've ever heard.  i would spell it, but i don't know how.  lincoln's reaction to the biggest gasp you've ever heard: jumps away from the door with a terrified look on his face and says, "what???!!" me, "there's.  a.  HUGE.  spider!"  at this point he got pretty frustrated with me for reacting as such and said, "with that kind of reaction, i thought it was a bear."  ... yeah, cause a bear would be hiding in between our screen door and regular door.  silly, lincoln.
• along with my very large fear of spiders is my most amazing ability to locate them.  (see above story).  i could probably tell you if there was a spider across the room under a pile of clothes.  ;)
• i am in love with a little girl named midge.
• that same little girl is really funny.  (see video below) the end is the best part.  she does that all the time.  it's so funny!

jalincoln: an interview.

i wanted to show you this adorable video that my friend lindsay made for my friend shower.

i don't necessarily like watching myself on video, but lincoln is really cute in it.

i know we will cherish this forever.
