remember when i introduced you to my cat, rusty?
well, sadly he got hit by a car this (sunday) morning right by our (my parent's) house.
and he didn't make it.
there's not much i can say or do except cry.
that might seem ridiculous for cat, but we've had him for 13 years.
he's been around for more than half of my life.
i'm really sad.
and i miss him a lot.
and i can't believe he's gone.
that is all.

i am so sorry. i remember when one time our cat got hit in front of our house. and then we buried it. then later we saw the cat again, which was really our cat. so we have a random cat buried in our yard.
but on another note, loosing a pet is like loosing a family member almost. especially if you have had him so long. so sorry again...
Ah Jalene! I am so sorry! My dog is about on her way out too and I've had her for 17 years...I'm preparing for a bawl session for that as well.
People can say what they want, but there's really no kind of bond like one with a pet.
It's not ridiculous at all! I'd be more concerned if you weren't sad!!
I'm sorry for your loss, pets really are a part of the family
There's a great book by mark levine called rescuing sprite that is about losing a pet that's been around for a long time. I just read it yesterday and it's funny and sad and uplifting and a quick read. Anyway, sorry that is random and I haven't ever commented on your blog before, but I enjoy your posts and am sorry for your loss. Animals are important in this world.
I am so sorry! I lost my childhood cat when she was 12 and I was 24. It was one of the hardest things I've ever been through, so I know how you're feeling :(
I'm so sorry. Losing a pet is so difficult, especially one you've had for that long.
I'm really sorry Jalene. Pets are very special creatures. I found this quote a while back shortly after my dog died and you might like it.
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." ~ Anatole France
That's terrible my dear! Sorry to hear!
sad day. im sorry. but you do look gorgeous in these pics. i was very sad to have to put my dog and cat (both i had had my whole life)to sleep when i was a junior in high school...both in the same night. i was devastated for like two weeks straight. but it got better. as will you. but im sorry, it is hard.
loves to you!

Oh miss jalene...I'm so sorry about your cat.. :( our little furry friends really do become part of the family. My dog died while I was on spring break a couple years ago. I got the call the day before we came home. It was the hardest thing to know I was not there when she was unexpectedly suffering. I know how hard this can be.. I'll be thinking about you. :)
SO sorry Jalene! I know how it is to lose a pet(aka family member). Crying is really all you can do. The hurt will go away eventually and then it will be fond memories. RIP Rusty!
that's so sad. i'm sorry, jalene. i don't think it's at all ridiculous that you can't stop crying. i would be the same way. poor little rusty. it's so hard to lose a pet.
I'm so very sorry for your loss - it's not ridiculous at all that you can't stop crying - pets are family too after all, and the circumstances make it even worse. Poor little Rusty. You can smile knowing he was well loved for those 13 years. It's very hard to lose a beloved a pet, though.
i'm sorry. i understand that bond with a cat that you've had almost your whole life! i don't know what i would do without my Holly. get a good cry - it'll make the healing easier!
That's horrible =-( I'm so sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry. Please don't feel ridiculous, pets are just as much family as people. xxx
jalene you look so beautiful in that picture! but i'm so sorry about your cat. when my best friends cat died, he came over and when i gave him a hug he started to cry and couldn't stop...and he was a guy. so you have every reason to be sad!
oh my goodness... i am so sorry.
your cat is so adorable, and losing an animal is so hard.
i am really, really sorry.
