The other day I bought my 2009 planner.
It's funny how much your old planner can say about your year.
The pages are more worn and dirty during those stressful weeks.
And as I skim through it, I'm reminded of
- how much I learned in just one year through my job and through school.
- dates I went on.
- good times rehearsing for Footloose.
- best friends getting married.
- farewells and homecomings.
- move in day in lovely Logan.
- awkward pedicures that Kristin joined me in.
- hair cuts.
- vacations to California and Mexico!
I totally am a believer that everything has a time and season. In my new planner there is a quote up at the top of every week from a famous person. I read this one this morning by J.K. Rowling-- "It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities." I've made a lot of choices this year and I haven't regreted a single one. I've learned so much about myself, what I want for my future, and met some amazing people. It's amazing how fast this year went by for me. Wow! I can't believe it's almost 2009.

Ha ha... I love keeping my planners and looking at them years later and remembering all the little day to day things I was doing. 2008 has been pretty good, huh? I love you Jalene.
