searching

I have such great friends...

One friend told me about this quote a few months back.
It comes from the book Brida. I have yet to read it {but will someday} ...apparently it is about a girl who discovers the possibility of more than one soul mate {which I totally believe}. This is the quote my friend shared with me about finding love.

"...by taking risks, by risking failure, disappointment, disillusion, but never ceasing in your search for love. as long as you keep looking, you will triumph in the end."

Another friend told me today that we can choose someone... and be fine... and happy... but, in her case, she searched and found something GREAT, something way better than average.

I think I'm like her.
She told me she wants that for me too.

That's why I have great friends.

jalene, i admire you. you know why?

because you don't settle.

because you know what love is supposed to be like.

because you don't give up what you want most for what you think may want now.

that's why the true love you find will be great.

keep searching, friend.

love you :)

You do have a great blog. And that book sounds like it would be interesting. More than one soulmate? Hmmm... you really think so? But anyway I do like the quote and your photos are amazing as usual.

I remember my Seminary teacher in college telling us that the whole Cinderella love story doesn't exist. The whole "fate thing " is just something Disney came up with.

I was crushed.

Then I grew up.

and realized,

Yes, I'm sure there are 10, 20, 100 men in the world that would make me happy, and I would live a wonderful life.

But, I picked one.

and he's my kind of wonderful.

You'll choose one too.

:)

I found my husband shortly after I had given up on love. I thought that I was incapable of loving someone.
When I saw him and heard him speak in church, I was overwhelmed by emotions I had never felt. After that I was on a mission to make him mine, and it worked :)

When I was single I always hated when people would tell me "you just know," but it's true. I have never known anything as completely as I knew I was supposed to marry him.

For me it happened when I stopped looking.
