reasons why i turned my frown upside-down and smiled.

(pictures from our photo booth vendor we hired for our reception.)

this weekend started out quite terrifying as i drove from college town to home town.
the state of utah got quite the snow storms this weekend.
it was a white-knuckle and cramp all your muscles drive,
but i made it out

alive.

saturday, we attended another bridal show and ran into our videographer
nathan pickett
who we think is pretty much the bomb-diggity.
we are really excited to work with him.
he's just the coolest.

then i was fitted for the first piece of my wedding dress.
i'm having it custom made by my dad's cousin.
i can already tell it's going to be amazing.
i kind of teared up a little
over the mock-bodice.

then we went and played mini golf with some of lincoln's friends.
i totally got a hole in one.
after, we played the most hilarious rounds of
catch phrase
uno
old maid
and
pass the pigs
that i have ever played in my life.
we could not stop laughing.

all of this lead to my conclusion as to why i was so down during the week:

my life is 1 million times better when i'm with lincoln.

but here's the thing,
i need to be happy when we aren't together as well.
so i'm working on this.
blog world, in case you wanted to know,
i'm working on this.

you know why he's great?
even when i got a teensy-bit upset with him this weekend over a misunderstanding,
right away, he made sure we were on the same page and let me know i was loved.

and he told me he thinks i'm funny.
it's good to know you are funny.

gee, i sure love mr. linc.

Oh I totally get what you mean - whenever I'm with my hubby, even if we're being lazy watching tv, things feel better. And maybe it's not GREAT to rely on someone else but gosh, isn't it awesome to have someone that just makes everything that much brighter?

i feel 100% the same about my hubs. everything's better when he's around...even the lame stuff.

i do think it's really smart that you're working on being happy even when you're not with him though, cause once you're married for awhile, it's good to be able to enjoy time apart for a few hours every now and then so you don't drive each other crazy....and so you still stay friends with your friends you had before getting married :).

my BIL had one at his wedding, and it was AWESOME. I loved it, and wished that those companies were around when we got married..

I can't wait to read more about your wedding plans in the next few months! ;)

That's exactly, how I've felt. Like now that I found the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, my life should be perfect... right? But it's not. It is not a magical transformation. You still decide to be happy, and he makes the sad days and happy days and in between days better.

That's real love. And it's mature. I'm glad someone else can feel the same.
