we became parents today!

to this adorable little girl.

we had thought about getting a kitten for a while, and then rusty passed away which made us stop looking for a while.

i just didn't want to jump right into something after that.

i would occasionally check out ksl classifieds when i was bored at work and a few days ago came upon her picture.

i kept coming back to her photo and thought about her all day.

we decided to go look at her today and it was a done deal.

she's already won over our hearts in the 3 hours we've had her.

she's still a little unsure of our apartment, but she's quite comfortable in my lap right now.

oh, gosh.  i already love this little girl so much.

and it's been a process, but i think we've decided on a name:

midge.

we found it on a names for cats website... yes, they do exist.

so everyone, say hello to midge.
